Kaseem A. Ladipo, Executive Director

Kaseem Ladipo is an alumnus of The Lovett School, Class of 1994. He attended Syracuse University and received a B.S. in electrical engineering and lettered in soccer for four years. After graduating from Syracuse, he worked at AT&T for more than two years in the Power Engineering division. He then joined Summerbridge Atlanta as a student coordinator and became an assistant coach for the Lovett varsity boys soccer team.  In 2003, he was promoted to program director of Breakthrough Atlanta and to head coach of the boys varsity soccer team, and in 2004 he was promoted to executive director of Breakthrough Atlanta. In addition to his positions at Breakthrough and Lovett, Kaseem coaches in a inner city soccer club called IMHOTEP Soccer.

Veronica Salenda, Program Director

Veronica Salenda is a Bay Area native and a graduate of Indiana University. Veronica has four years experience in the nonprofit sector with City Year, Inc., and the YMCA in San Jose, Calif. Committed to youth development, she engaged middle school students in a weekend service-learning initiative called the Young Heroes Program, as well as an out-of-school apprenticeship-based program at Castro Middle School in San Jose called Citizen Schools. She is continuing her work with young people as the program director for Breakthrough Atlanta.

Ronn M. Bronzetti, Development Director

Ronn Bronzetti is a New England native who joined Breakthrough Atlanta from the corporate world, where he was in sales for four years. He grew up on independent school campuses (Kimball Union and Phillips Exeter), attended Cardigan Mountain School and Brewster Academy, and graduated from The University of New Hampshire in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. When not fundraising for Breakthrough Atlanta, Ronn assists with the coaching of the Lovett wrestling team.  He and his wife, Sara, have lived in Atlanta for five years. Ronn and Sara are members of Peachtree Presbyterian Church, and Ronn is a member of the Vinings Rotary Club.

Octavia Raheem, College Prep Director

Octavia Raheem is a Georgia native. She attended Northeastern University in Boston where she received a B.A. in English/Creative Writing and Secondary Education. Octavia has three years of experience teaching middle school language arts and critical thinking in Phoenix , Ariz. with the Teach For America Program. Additionally, while still in college, she worked for several years developing youth as leaders and community builders with a grassroots nonprofit, The NIA Project. She came to Breakthrough as a National Breakthrough Collaborative Leadership Fellow in the summer of 2006 where she supported the Atlanta program as dean of faculty. She is excited to be "back home" and continuing to work with young people as college prep director.

Kisha Barnes, Program Associate

Kisha Barnes was one of the pilot participants in Summerbridge Atlanta in 1996. She came back to Breakthrough Atlanta 2005 to volunteer with the school year program. She also taught 8th grade math for the 2005 summer program. Kisha served in the United States Army for 2 years as a Health Care Specialist. She is a wife, mother to a one year old boy, and a full-time student at Clayton State College and University, where she is deciding between a major in nursing or education.
