The purpose of a 2nd-5th grade art curriculum is to provide students with a
greater understanding and appreciation of: art history, art production,art criticism, aesthetics, and the developmental stages of children’s art. Students will spend the year focused on learning about the elements and principles of design. Students will explore and refine the application of media, techniques and artistic processes.
